Actually ceremonial grade

First-harvest, shade-grown, stone-milled matcha. The same tea the precious brands sell, in a format you'll actually use.

Lives in your bag

Sticks go anywhere a lip gloss goes. Office, class, car, the bottom of a tote you haven't cleaned out since 2024.

how to (barely) make it

Three steps. None of them hard.

Cold is the trick. Matcha clumps in hot water and dissolves in cold, so a shake does the whisk's job.

1

Rip it open

With your teeth, if it comes to that. We won't tell.

2

Dump it in

Into a bottle or jar of cold milk or water. Oat milk if you want it creamy.

3

Shake it

Lid on, shake hard for ten seconds, drink. Add ice if you're feeling fancy.

10 sec · hard

no bowl. no whisk. no 75°C thermometer situation.

why "messy girl"

Matcha got precious. We'd like it back.

Most ceremonial matcha is sold like it belongs in a museum. Ours is the same tea, sold to people who drink it standing up in the kitchen with their hair in a clip.

We're Paige and Caroline. We started Messy Girl because we were both buying expensive matcha and then not drinking it, because making it properly takes a bowl, a whisk, a sieve, and ten minutes we never had. So we pre-portioned it into sticks that work with cold milk and a shake.

Same leaf. Same grade. Zero ceremony.
